It's Tent Tuesday!

Tuesdays needed a little help.

So we’re giving the slowest day of the week at River Rock Central Park a bit more personality. Welcome to Tent Tuesday - our weekly mystery promotion where you never quite know what’s going to be waiting under the tent.

Some weeks we’ll pull out a great deal on gear, footwear or clothing. We might dig into the back room and find something that really needs to find a new home. Other Tuesdays could bring a Golden Ticket, a freebie, a snack, a free service or something we haven’t even thought of yet.

That’s part of the fun.

WE DIDN’T MAKE IT TO FASHION WEEK…

And we’re perfectly fine with that.

On Thursday, September 10, we’re teaming up with our friends at Oboz for their We Didn’t Make It to Fashion Week campaign—and if you know River Rock, you know this is pretty much our kind of fashion week.

Forget the runway. We’ve got a red carpet, hiking boots and absolutely no fashion experts.

From 10 AM–6 PM at River Rock Downtown, come Walk the Red Carpet & Strike a Pose. We’ll have a FREE Bling Your Boots Bar, some highly questionable “fashion” advice from River Rock staff, photo ops and a chance to win a $1,000 in-store shopping spree from Oboz. Take a photo, tag it with #NYFW + #ObozRedCarpet, and you’re entered!

And then,,,we’re taking this thing after hours.

We didn’t make it to Fashion Week…and we’re perfectly fine with that.

Join River Rock Outfitter, Oboz, and our friends at Rehana’s for the After Party - a casual evening in The Courtyard celebrating good shoes, good food, good wine, and people who would probably rather be on a trail than a runway anyway.

Your $30 ticket includes appetizers from Rehana’s and two glasses of wine, with a cash bar available throughout the evening.

We’ll have River Rock staff hanging out, a special guest joining us all the way from Montana, plenty of fellow adventurers, and absolutely no expectation that you dress up. This is our kind of red carpet.

HOT DAMN CAMP COOKING WITH CAST IRON

We’re teaming up with Whittingham & The Kitchen at Whittingham and Chef Doug for a camp cooking class that takes dinner around the fire up a few notches.

September 19 at Noon
$70 per person | Approximately 2 hours

Chef Doug will show us how to make a seriously good meal using cast iron - plus we’ll talk equipment, cast iron care, and how to take what you learn in class straight to the campsite.

We’re partnering with Whittingham & The Kitchen at Whittingham and Chef Doug to tackle one of our favorite challenges: How do you make an actually great meal when your entire kitchen is basically three square feet?

Think camper. RV. Van. Tiny camp kitchen. Limited equipment. Very little counter space.

Chef Doug will show us how to pull off four courses without needing a full-size kitchen because eating on the road does NOT have to mean lowering your standards.
