We are excited to launch a new series for those who want to stop and SEE the Outdoors. If you want to find new ways to enjoy the beauty of nature or to get outdoors, then this series is for you.
Do you want to start using watercolor in your nature journaling or want to create unique gifts for family and friends? Join us as we discuss the basic materials needed and focus on learning techniques with a seasonal item we've gathered from nature.
November 3rd 6-7PM
Everyone is welcome and all materials provided!
If you have questions regarding this workshop then please e-mail email@example.com.
We are happy to introduce you to our newest instructor Jennifer Manfre.
Jennifer Manfre, a native of Fredericksburg, earned her degree in studio art and MEd from UMW. She is a local educator, writer, artist and award winning photographer. You might see her paddling down the Rapidan with her dog, or maybe if you look close enough, appearing in a few movies and television shows! Check out more at www.manfrejl.com
This workshop is part of our SEE the Outdoors Workshop Series
Some people like to race to the top of a beautiful summit. Their goal is to get their gear lighter and to move faster – setting a personal best and raising their arms in victory when they reach the top. We admire these people, learn from these athletes, and enjoy seeing their summit photos on social media. However, most of us prefer to enjoy the sights and sounds of the outdoors. We spend more time meandering, admiring the flora and fauna, the sound of a stream, or the smell in the air. We journal, take photos, meditate – returning home with stories about the journey. Our River Rock staff represents the full spectrum. At the end of the day the outdoors experience is what you make it – as “they” say, hike your own hike!
